We would like to invite managers, employers and interested experts from the chemical, pharmaceutical, rubber and plastics industry sector to participate in this European conference on Sustainable Leadership of Just Transition towards Climate Neutrality.

It is the second conference of the EU-funded JUS[T]RANS LEAD project, an important cross-European social partner initiative that identifies and develops sustainable leadership skills and tools for managers and employers needed to implement a sustainable Just Transition initiatives now and in the future. The project started in May 2024 and is running until April 2026, and it has already identified a wide range of concrete actions, best practices and tools for the Just Transition in the sector. The project is lead in a cooperation between FECCIA, ECEG, Ledarna Sweden and Lederne Denmark. During this second conference, the core results of the entire JUS[T]RANS LEAD project will be presented and discussed, and we look forward to receiving further constructive input from you as participants.

One of the important focus areas of the conference will be to introduce the components of the Just Transition Leadership Toolbox, which is intended to help managers in the chemical, pharmaceutical, rubber and plastics industry sector to analyse, develop and implement Just Transition strategies and actions within their organisations.

The conference will showcase the important results achieved by the Tools & Skills Task Force regarding sustainable Green and Just Transition Leadership, as well as the central aspects of the “Joint Strategic Framework for Sustainable Just Transition Leadership” agreed upon by the JUS[T]RANS LEAD Panel of ECEG and FECCIA.

Finally, the conference will also include further presentations on individual good and best practices for the sustainable leadership of Just Transition in companies within the chemical, pharmaceutical, rubber and plastics industry across the EU.

The Conference and the stay in Málaga will be financed by the project that is co-funded by the EU. Travel costs will be reimbursed by up to 350 Euros. See more under “Travel Costs".

The conference will take place at the Hotel NH Málaga in Spain from 4 to 6 March 2026.

Travel costs

Travel to and from the conference is reimbursed after the event and the hotel rooms are booked for the nights of 4 and 5 March 2026.

Travel costs up to a maximum of 350 EUR are reimbursed afterwards as follows:

Rail
Travel costs for rail travel (first class) and public transport will be reimbursed. Please include all relevant tickets.

Air Fares
Travel costs for air fares is reimbursed for travels in the cheapest economy fare. Please include all boarding passes physically or digitally, since reimbursement will not otherwise be possible.

Car
Costs for car travel will be reimbursed on the basis of a first-class train ticket for the same route. Please include an appropriate confirmation of train travel costs.

Costs for local public transport will also be reimbursed.

Please note that taxi costs will not be reimbursed.

Language

The conference will be conducted in English and translation will be available between English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.
