We invite managers from the chemical, pharmaceutical, rubber and plastics industry sector to take part in this conference on Sustainable Leadership of Just Transition towards Climate Neutrality.

The conference is part of an EU-funded project that will identify sustainable leadership skills and tools for managers and employers needed to implement sustainable Just Transition initiatives now and in the future. The project will identify concrete actions and best practices for this Just Transition. You can read more about this project below and on the project website via this link

During this first conference, the objectives, aims and deliverables of the entire JUS[T]RANS LEAD project will be presented and discussed.

We will introduce the first results from the Jus[T]rans Best Practices Survey and the Just[T]rans Skills Desk Research by a leading academic institution.

Participants will be invited to provide feedback on the first version of the Just Transition Best Practice Guide for managers.

A core part of the program will include the presentation on individual good and best practices for the sustainable management of Just Transition in companies within the chemical, pharmaceutical, rubber and plastics industry across the EU, as well as round table discussion on national and European social partner activities.

The Conference and the stay in Lisbon will be financed by the project that is co-financed by the EU. Flight tickets can be reimbursed by up to 350 Euros. See more under “Travel Costs".

Travel costs

Travel to and from the conference is reimbursed after the event and the hotel rooms are booked for the nights of 19 and 20 March 2025.

Travel costs are reimbursed afterwards as follows:

Rail

Travel costs for rail travel (first class) and public transport will be reimbursed. Please include all relevant tickets.

Air Fares

Travel costs for air fares is reimbursed for travels in the cheapest economy fare for up to 350 EUR. Please include all boarding passes in the original since reimbursement will not be possible otherwise.

Car

Costs for car travel will be reimbursed on the basis of a firstclass train ticket for the same route. Please include an appropriate confirmation of train travel costs.

Costs for local public transport will also be reimbursed.

Please note that taxi costs will not be reimbursed.

Language

The conference will be conducted in English and translation will be available between English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.
